System Parameters

• This screen is where all the Strokes, Distances and Age brackets are defined. Normally these will have already been set up for you.
• Note: Any of the base system parameters will be blocked from being changed.
• To add a new entry under any of the sections just click the “Add” button then on the popup dialog enter the name of the new entry and click the “yes” button to add it.
• The following sections describe what can or needs to be entered for each of the different types.

• Age:

  • Description, make meaningful as this appears through out the system when displaying ages.
  • Handicap/Championship, select one or the other depending on whether this age is to be used for Handicap divisions or Championship divisions
  • Age range defines the age range that swimmers must be within to fall into this age group (inclusive)

• Distance:

  • Description, make meaningful as this appears through out the system when displaying distances.
  • Standard lengths is not used at moment but is intended to help convert between different distances e.g. enter .6 for 30 metres (30m is .6 of a 50 metre pool).

• Strokes:

  • Description, make meaningful as this appears through out the system when displaying strokes.
  • Handicap/Championship/Relay, select one or the other depending on whether this stroke is to be used for Handicaps, Championships or Relay.
  • MultiChoice ticked for a relay where there needs to be multiple people registered to swim
  • Select Form Strokes is where there is a choice of strokes. If ticked then an extra section will appear where the strokes the swimmer can select from appears. There will be a list of “Available Strokes” and a list of “Selected Strokes”. Click on any stroke on either side and will move it to the other side.

Note: the delete button has been disabled for now – call support if you need to remove any parameters.
